Startup fashion is trending nowadays globally, also in India startups are increasing day by day as more people are coming up with latest and unique business ideas. Govt. Of India are also helping the young Indian startups by launching various schemes time to time. On January 16th, 2016 PM Narendra Modi launched the ‘Startup India Launch Plan’ which provided them knowledge based & technology driven innovations. These schemes follows latest research programs and supports new ideas.
Here are some of those startup schemes :
1) Multiplier Grants Schemes (MGS)
This scheme is headed by Department of Electronics and Information and Technology (DEIT) and it serves IT industry, analytics and software & hardware industry. This MGS Scheme is reason behind main growth of ITES (Information Technology Enabled Services) with max. ₹2 crores per project with duration of less than 2 years and ₹4 crore for duration of 3 years. It aims to collaborate R&D industry & institutions.
2) Aspire (Scheme for promoting innovations and entrepreneurship)
This scheme is being run by the steering committee, Ministry of MSME. It serves in agriculture, pets & animals and healthcare. Aspire mainly supports the rural economy by proving the agricultural based support system and is beneficial in providing the employment to rural peoples.
3) Support for International Patent Protection in Electronics & Information Technology (SIP-EIT)
Run by the Department of Electronics and Information and Technology (DEIT), it provides financial support to the young & aspiring startups by up to ₹15 lakhs per invention or 50% of expenses whichever is lesser for the funding of international patent filing, inventions and growth opportunities. It serves in the IT software & hardware industry.
4) Infrastructure Development scheme
Headed by National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) with the core serving agnostic industry. This scheme was introduced by the government to solve the office space related problems. Under this scheme, an office of 465 sq.ft. to 8,657 sq. ft is been provided with 6 months refundable rent taken as an security deposit.
5) Sparsh (Social Innovation programme for products which are affordable and relevant to Societal Health)
Run by BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council), it provides it’s services in healthcare & sciences. This scheme provides loans to the startups according to their stage. BIRAC provides financial & technical support to the young entrepreneurs who make efforts in filling the gaps in healthcare. This is a great step in bringing the revolutionary changes that healthcare industry needs.
