Gender discrimination exists in a work place in many ways, it could be either hiring a specific gender for certain work or different pay scales for a same role of work. According to the 2016 Monster salary index, Women in India are paid 25% less than Men. This clearly indicates that gender discrimination still exists in some of the work places. Here are some steps a corporation can do to eradicate gender discrimination :
1) No special privileges for a specific gender
Special privileges must not be provided to employees based on their gender. If a person is an employee of a company, he or she must perform their work without bringing their gender in between. There must be strict rules and guidelines that officials should follow.

2) Conduct fair evaluations
Evaluations in the company must be objective not subjective. However, if an employee misbehaves or breaks in the rules and regulations of the company, then the certain guidelines or criteria that must be same while evaluating him or her.

3) Provide training to the management
If their are rules and guidelines to promote gender equality, but the higher-ups aren’t making any efforts to change the employee’s mindset then there’ll be no change. First, educate the management to identify discrimination and how to eradicate it.

4) Equal Compensation
Pay scale of an employee is a factor that must be regardless of gender. Equal salaries must be given to man & woman for the same work role. Both must be treated equally in terms of working opportunities in the company.
