‘Bayiravi’ – An Inspiring Story of a Mother & an Entrepreneur

On this mother’s day, we want to thank all the mom’s out there. There are plenty of moms who have made a huge mark on the business world as well. But today we are sharing with you a inspiring story of a mom bayiravi mani who decided to convert her passion into a business. She was Born on March 10, 1983, Madras. Being a mother is a full time job and she runs her business also.

When Bayiravi discovered baking, she had been an active participant of the event management team at Kingdom Of Dreams for quite some time. It changed her time forever, and finally in june 2011 she went commercial with her goodies and started Bee The Baker. In december 2011, she quit her day job and turned to Bee The Baker full-time. Bayiravi is from a conservative Brahmin family, where even eggs are a strict no.

She started baking out of curiosity. Advait came along during her baking journey. When bayiravi son Advait was born, the initial days of bayiravi got changed. Motherhood has been the most amazing thing that can happen to a mom. She is in a nuclear setup, she needed something to keep Advait secure and happy so that she could continue to work on her cakes without any disturbance.

When Advait was around a month old, she learned the art of babywearing and she got herself a wrap and started “wearing” her son at home while working on her cakes. That’s how kol-kol was born. Actually Kol-Kol was Advait’s first words. Now, there is no choice left for Bayiravi to choose between being a mother or an entrepreneur. It was an opportunity for her to allow herself and others like her, a chance to be both.

A lot of women in India choose to quit their dreams when they have a child due to lack of time. Its very tough for bayiravi to taking care of a child plus baking but she did it with her curiosity.  Bayiravi who persevered, and embarked on journeys that left us truly inspired. It proves that a lot can be achieved with time on your hands.

Socialbird wishes all the mother a very happy Mother’s day.
