From a tiny shop from Bikaner to an international brand with Rs 3,500 crore turnover.

A very well known Indian brand, which was once a tiny shop. This tiny shop gave birth to this famous business in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Today this brand is not only famous in India, But this brand is ruling in over 50 countries. Today i am going to tell you the success story of this famous Indian brand. You will be surprised to know that the success story this Indian brand is older than India’s Independence.

Gangabishan Agarwal opened a small store selling snacks in 1937. Gangabishan was following his father’s dream, he always wanted to sell bhujiya. In the town Gangabishan was the only one who knew how to make tastiest snack, so people started flocking at the bhujiyawala store. Gangabishan’s pet name was haldiram, so he decided to name his shop Haldiram. Now a normal bhujiya seller is spread across 50 countries and earns a turnover of over Rs. 3,500 crore.

Soon with his talent, he became popular for making delicious bhujiya. Gangabishan decided to take a leap and opened his first store in Delhi in 1982. This business took some time to pick up but whoever tasted Haldiram item’s always did mouth publicity. It took 10 years to pick up but after 10 years haldiram started exporting its snaks to America. In those days, not many had the courage to take a such huge leap but Gangabishan risk was paid off.

Haldiram makes more than 100 products and it got popularity from all over the world. In 2015 America denied accepting haldiram products stating that it uses pesticides in their eatables. Despite this harm to the reputation, Haldiram outlets are going strong. It provide lip smacking food. In 2013-14 from North India branches Haldiram collected a total revenue of Rs. 2100 crore while from west and east branches it did an annual sale of Rs. 1,225 crore and Rs. 210 crore.

Frankly speaking this place is one of my favorite place. Haldiram’s success story is undoubtedly one of the India’s biggest success stories. This story simply proves that if you start from a tiny shop in a town, you can achieve immense success.

I haven’t heard of yet. I don’t think it’s available yet in the Philippines. But the story of success is really interesting.

A great inspiring true story. Me and my husband really love these snacks too. Worst thing is we can not stop at all once we start eating it.
